Terms of Service
Last updated 2 September 2026
The short version
FridgeToForks suggests things you could cook with what you already have. It is free, it is run by a small team, and it uses AI to write and adapt recipes.
That last part matters. A recipe here may have been written or rewritten by a machine, and machines get things wrong. You are the cook. Check temperatures, check that meat is done, and check every ingredient yourself if you have an allergy. Section 4 is the one to actually read.
Agreeing to these terms
By using FridgeToForks you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. FridgeToForks is run by Gigbuilder of Murphy, North Carolina, USA, and in these terms "we" and "us" mean Gigbuilder.
You need to be at least 13 to have an account.
Your account
Give us a real email address, because it is how we confirm the account and how you get back in if you forget your password. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us at support@gigbuilder.com if you think someone else has got into it.
One account per person. You can close your account whenever you like by emailing us.
What the service is
You tell FridgeToForks what is in your kitchen. It searches recipes, works out which ones you can actually make, and can rewrite a method for the appliances you own. It can also answer questions while you cook.
It is a suggestion engine. It is not a professional chef, a dietitian, a doctor, or a food safety inspector, and nothing here is medical or nutritional advice. If you have a medical condition, an allergy, or you are cooking for someone who does, talk to a professional and trust them over this website.
Food safety, allergies, and your own judgement
Please read this part
Recipes on FridgeToForks come from public recipe sources, and some are written or rewritten by AI, including when a method is adapted for your appliances. AI makes mistakes, and its mistakes can look reasonable. A cooking time, a temperature, or a substitution can be wrong in a way that reads perfectly well on the page.
You are responsible for the food you cook and serve. In particular:
- Allergies. Do not rely on this site to tell you whether a dish is safe for an allergy. Ingredient lists can be incomplete, names can be ambiguous, and a substitution may introduce something you cannot eat. Read the packaging on every ingredient yourself.
- Doneness and temperature. Use a thermometer and your own knowledge of safe internal temperatures for meat, poultry, fish and eggs. If a time or temperature here looks wrong to you, it may well be. Trust yourself.
- Storage and leftovers. Follow your local food safety guidance, not a suggestion on this site.
- Appliances. Adapted methods are our best effort at translating a recipe to equipment you own. Follow your appliance manufacturer's own safety instructions, especially for pressure cookers.
If something here looks unsafe, please tell us at support@gigbuilder.com. We want to know.
Using it fairly
Please do not:
- use the site to break the law, or to harass anyone;
- try to break into it, overload it, or get at other people's accounts;
- scrape it in bulk, or resell what it produces as your own service;
- use the Ask the Chef feature as a general purpose AI assistant. It is there for cooking, and we limit it to that;
- run up cost deliberately. Every search costs us money, and there are limits per account for that reason.
If you do these things we may suspend the account.
Recipes and who owns what
Recipes are gathered from public sources on the web and from recipe databases. A recipe method is a set of facts and is not itself owned by anyone, but the words used to describe it can be. We link to the original source and name it, and we write our own wording rather than copying theirs. Where we show a photograph from a source, we credit that source; the photograph belongs to them, not to us.
If you own a recipe or a photograph and you would rather we did not use it, email support@gigbuilder.com and we will take it down. You will not have to argue with us about it.
The site itself, its name, and its design are ours.
What you put in
Your kitchen list, your notes, and your questions are yours. You give us permission to store and use them for the purpose of running the service for you, which includes sending ingredients to the services listed in our Privacy policy so the product can work at all.
A recipe that gets invented or adapted for your kitchen may be added to our recipe collection so other cooks can find it. That never includes your name, your email, or anything else that identifies you.
It is free, and it may change
FridgeToForks is currently free with full access, and we do not ask for a card. Accounts opened by November 15, 2026 are free until December 1, 2026; accounts opened after that get a 7-day free trial. After that, full access is a paid plan ($5 a month or $50 a year); the current plan is always on the pricing page. When your free time ends without a plan, your kitchen, recipe box and lists stay yours; the features that need a plan stop until you choose one. We will not silently start charging you for something that was free; you will be told first and you will get to decide.
We may add, change, or remove features. We may also stop running the service. If we ever shut down, we will give you notice and a way to take your data with you.
No guarantee
The service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available, that suggestions will suit you, or that everything on it is accurate. We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of FridgeToForks, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for a free account is nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
Ending it
You can stop using the site and close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless there is a good reason not to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top when these change. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders rather than relying on you to notice.
